I full on claimed the Wii & Fit in the “separation.” I must say, a very wise decision. My mom and I have been having a blast boxing in the evenings and playing the new EA Active. I really did my research before buying Active, because I’ve heard mixed feelings about it. In the end, I decided who cares what people think, I could totally go for a new game. Again, a wise decision. It’s a lot of fun, and you really do work up a sweat.
I haven’t gotten to know the full extent of the game yet, but I play it almost everyday. I’ve actually started running for about 30 minutes every morning before I shower and get ready for work. I’ve found it to be a great way to start they day, especially since I don’t have to be at work till 9. It’s not like I have to wake up extremely early. Anyway, so I do my running in the mornings and do the Active in the evenings for 20-30 minutes.
Some of the downfalls I’ve read about the game is the resistance band sucks. I agree. I’m short, so for me it’s too long and there’s not enough resistance. Plus, you have to tie it to the hand straps and sometimes the knots come undone. I’m afraid it’s going to snap and really hurt! It also has running and walking exercising. I’ve heard that doing that stuff in place is really bad for your knees. I also just find it uncomfortable. I have flat feet, so I can only imagine the damage it’s causing. Some of the exercises I think could be a little longer. I assume they have them timed that way for a reason, but who knows?
So yeah, that’s that. Completely changing the subject all together, because I just found out this news…(shockingly it has nothing to do with Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, or Michael Jackson – so sad, but everyone else is talking about it, so I’m not going to). Have you heard that a hospital officially confirmed that Steve Jobs has had a liver transplant? Um, wow. What would we do without the genius behind Apple? It would never be the same. Although, I’m sure things would still go on. Apparently Apple isn’t talking about Jobs’ health which is leaving a lot of people skeptical. No one knows what’s going on or what kind of direction this is going to take the company. It’s not just a big deal for shareholders and investors, but the fans. Apple has completely dedicated buyers. Many of who don’t just buy the product but take an avid interest in the company’s future endeavors. I’m really curious to hear what they have to say, when they make the announcements or whatever. Once you go Mac, you don’t go back! =)
